Winter 2020 Book Study

Book Study Paused March 27, 2020

To be Continued in September...

Note from Karen:

I hope that you and your family are safe and well.  I know that the news is scary and the COVID-19 outbreak has upended our normal lives, including our teaching activities.  Many of you are trying to teach online and you’re doing the best you can for your students.

In light of this situation, we’ve decided to pause the online book study of “Becoming the Math Teacher You Wish You’d Had”.  With so many of you out of school for the time being, we will restart the discussions in September.  We will begin with some time reviewing what we have already read these past couple months and continue from there.

We hope that this will allow you to attend to the things you need to focus on: your students, your families, and your health and well-being.  If anyone is still reading and wants to discuss the book with me, you are welcome to email me at
